What we do
EMEU structures any project from the free initial meeting through to the scope of works, from a single bespoke door or set of shelves up to restoring and extending a whole property. The main categories are below, each on its own page.
Conversions
EMEU carries out Part M house conversions and extensions, and converts outbuildings such as a shed and boiler house into an insulated workspace. Part M is the building regulation covering access to and use of buildings. It ensures that buildings are designed, built or altered so that people of all ages, mobilities and abilities, including wheelchair users and those pushing prams, can safely approach, enter and move around them.
Architectural joinery
EMEU makes shutters, shaker doors and doors to order. Doors are supplied oversized, and EMEU can either fit them or supply them for the client's own carpenter to hang.
Restorations
Restoration work covers roofing, drainage, house refurbishment, windows and glasshouses on period and character property.
Project management
EMEU offers top down project management, structuring the work in sequence from the free initial meeting through to an agreed scope of works.
Interiors
The interiors gallery shows bespoke work including kitchens, bathrooms, furniture and custom woodwork.

How we work

Work on historic and character buildings
EMEU has carried out work on historic and character buildings, including sash windows and shutters at the former naval hospital at Great Yarmouth, a Classic Victorian terrace and Regency shutters. This is work carried out, not an accreditation or a listed building status.
Materials and craft
EMEU works the right material for the job, including lead, oak, ash, polycarbonate and resin, with British made hinges specified in shaker doors. The approach is form following function.

EMEU is based in Holt, North Norfolk, and works across north Norfolk predominantly, including the NR24 and NR25 postcode areas, and into wider Norfolk.

Timber products, shop coming soon
EMEU makes small timber products including book frames, a bread board, a cheeseboard, coffee filter holders, reclaimed door stair gates and a flat pack bunk bed. The bunk bed is supplied as four large sections and bolted together by a carpenter at the buyer's end. The online shop is not live yet.
